  • If you are responsible for preparing students for life after high school, inquire about our one-day training approved by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) for 7.5 NBCC credit hours. (NBCC Approval No. SP-4148.)  The purpose of the training is to teach busy counselors how to make the best use of the limited time they have to give unbiased advice to the whole student; and feel confident they are working equitably with all students regardless of whether the student chooses to earn a badge, license, industry certification, certificate or degree.

  • Who Should Attend:  This training is designed for counseling professionals who do not have an academic background in aspirational attainment theory or college student development theory.  Participants will be introduced to the innovative A7MQ holistic conceptual framework grounded in evidence-based practices that simplify the counseling process.

  • What You Will Learn:  You will learn how to help students:
  • Answer seven major questions (A7MQ) that prepare them to transition to transition from adolescents to adults,
  • Describe the characteristics of their foreseeable futures in their own voices,
  • Examine the driving forces that compel them to act,
  • Take inventory of their capacity to attain their aspirations,
  • Write relevant goals that are aligned with their foreseeable futures,
  • Design a detailed strategic plan,
  • Identify the parking forces that interfere with the implementation of their plans,
  • Brainstorm alternatives to abandoning their plans when faced with a dilemma.

  • What You Will Get:  Each participant receives:
  • The College Life Management: What's Your A7MQ? textbook with built-in assessment instruments that provide a logical rationale for encouraging, giving advice, and advocating for students.  They are also used for record-keeping, data collection and analysis, collaborating, and sharing results with stakeholders.
  • A hand-held guidance wheel that ensures thoroughness and takes the guesswork out of structuring formal, informal, individual, or group counseling sessions.  No technology is necessary.

College Life Management: What's Your A7MQ®?

IQ and EQ are no longer enough!  Students must also be ready to take charge of their lives.

When students leave high school, they will be treated like an adult and expected to act like an adult even though they are still teenagers.  This worktext takes the mystery out of what is required to attain one's aspirations by learning how to answer seven major questions (A7MQ) in seven segments of life.

Using a groundbreaking 21st-century septivium of essential mechanisms, Harvard-educated author Rozalia Williams guides students through the art and science of meeting the expectations of virtually every college official, hiring official, and military recruiter for the self-knowledge, self-discipline, and college knowledge a student must bring to the table if they desire to earn a credential and become employed.

This life-changing worktext is a must-have for students who want to:

  • Become independent thinkers
  • Establish their own identities
  • Rely on their own incomes
  • Develop mutually beneficial relationships
  • Work in satisfying careers
  • Understand what influences their life choices
  • Make the world a better place to live

Contents include self-scoring assessments, real-life 'What If..." scenarios, practice worksheets, comprehensive checklists, introspection journal prompts, quizzes, and more.

This easy-to-read, pocket-size but powerful book sheds light on how colleges work and help readers understand the choices, challenges, bridges, and barriers that college students encounter. The book gives students and parents the right questions to ask about every aspect of the college experience and sheds light on how colleges work, for which students, and with what resources. It clarifies the differences between what students think college is all about and what it is in reality.

Writer’s Digest Magazine says: “A student can refer to this manual at each step of the college process from admission to graduation… It actively forces its reader to seek out (and think about) the answers to its questions, rather than sit back and have those answers provided….The author leaves no stone unturned when it comes to college facts…This book covers questions a reader would never have thought of on their own making it easier for a college-bound user to be as prepared as possible.”
